Air Quality Conditions on Federal Indian Lands of the United States: 1992 SurveyResults

This project is an effort to refine our knowledge of the air quality problems onIndian reservations. This project was undertaken with the goal of further defining and refining the status of air quality on Indian reservations with respect to the six criteria pollutants specified in the Clean Air Act. National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) have been established for these 6 pollutants nationwide, and these standards are now being applied to Indian reservations so that the attainment status of these reservations may be determined and catalogued.
