Use of Timber in Construction: Analysis of Building Codes

The report describes the use of timber in construction industry with special reference to building codes. The report covers: (1) review of timber codes, USA national design specifications for wood construction; (2) building design, design properties, and classification values; and (3) the Australian, Malaysian and Philippines timber codes, the Andean Group handbook for design of wood structures.
