Alliance Approach to Resource Development and Promotion of Adult Day Care

The projected outcome of the project was to eliminate barriers to the effective provision of adult day services in King County, Washington. The goals were to: (1) foster public and private sector efforts to prepare for projected changes in the number and characteristics of America's aging population in the 1990's; (2) assure the development of resources to meet community care needs of increasing numbers of older persons in the 21st century; (3) remind the public that adult day care is an integral service in the continuum of long term care (LTC); and (4) facilitate the continued development of a coalition of adult day care providers in Seattle-King County who were providing a service to meet long term care needs.
