Older Pennsylvanians: A Keystone in Economic Development, 1993. Volume 1

The purpose of the project was to explore ways in which growth in the older population can be used as a stimulus for economic development in Pennsylvania. The major objective was to develop public/private partnerships at the state and community levels in order to formulate workable strategies for retiree-based economic development. Volume 1 provides national and state demographic information, an extensive literature review, results from a survey of other states, and recommendations for state-level strategies.
