Effect of Calcium Nitrite on the Properties of Concrete Used in Bridge Decks

摘要

The objective of the study was to evaluate concretes containing calcium nitriteunder field conditions. Their resistance to deterioration resulting from freezing and thawing was determined, and their effectiveness in preventing corrosion was evaluated and compared to that of epoxy-coated reinforcing bars. The study was limited to testing concretes placed on a single bridge.
