Market Assessment: Natural Gas Fired Medical Sterilizers. Final Report, October1991-April 1992

The objective of this study was to assess the potential market for natural gasfired sterilization equipment. Two markets were investigated: on-site treatment and disposal of infectious waste, and resterilization of medical products. In both of these markets cost containment pressures, regulatory constraints, environmental concerns, and safety and health concerns for patients and workers have created a need for new and innovative products. Concepts for new products for the infectious waste treatment and disposal, and medical product resterilization markers were developed and tested in interviews with potential customers.
