The seminar focused on two GRI-sponsored projects that provide information neededto make informed judgements concerning the use of copper tubing in interior gas distribution systems in commercial and residential buildings. The objectives of one project conducted by Southwest Research Institute were to define the effects of natural gas constituents on the corrosion of copper and to determine constituent limits within which internal copper corrosion is not a safety hazard. A second program conducted by Foster-Miller, Inc., investigated modified copper-based tubing systems. Included in the seminar report are an executive summary, speaker visuals, and the list of attendees.
