The workshop's papers covered a variety of topics related to forecasting andobservations of various winter weather phenomena in the United States. Papers were given on storm models and theories, applications of computer and satellite data for weather forecasting, quantitative descriptions of specific storms, and overviews of winter climate in several areas of the United States.
