Vandalism: Research, Prevention and Social Policy

摘要

The book is an examination of how vandalism is being approached through research,law enforcement, education, design, understanding human behavior, innovative ideas, and integrated programs. Introductory chapters decribe empirical studies of urban youth sub-culture, characteristics of trailhead vandalism, effectiveness of trailside sign text and development of a brochure for reducing vandalism. Other chapters provide perspectives on vandalism policy and prevention in urban areas, vandalism prevention at recreational and archaeological sites, and indirect management to protect rapidly developing rural areas and their cultural and natural resources.
