Industry Sector Analysis, Mexico: Fruit and Vegetable Processing Machinery

The report analyzes the preserved foods industry in Mexico. It considers fruit orvegetable preparation sectors including; juices, nectars and fruit drinks, some sauces, vegetables, hot peppers, preserved fruits and canned-bottled-frozen fruits or vegetables. The equipment used in the industry comes primarily from the United States. However, the Mexican market is more receptive to certain German and Italian machinery, specifically machines that label and fill. The United States will have to make an additional effort to maintain and increase its market share in Mexico.
