The SITE Program promotes the development and implementation of innovativetreatment technologies that (1) reduce the toxicity, mobility, or volume of hazardous waste, and (2) monitor the nature and extent of hazardous waste site contamination. To accomplish these tasks, the SITE Program consists of four interrelated programs: Demonstration Program; Emerging Technology Program; Monitoring and Measurement Technologies Program; and Technology Transfer Program.
