摘要

In recent years, furnace manufacturers have been developing new, higherefficiency Category I furnaces that do not have draft hoods or draft diverters, but instead use fan-assisted combustion systems. These Category I fan-assisted furnaces still rely on the natural draft created by the buoyancy of the warm combustion products for venting. As part of its program on Venting, GRI is providing technical support concerning the venting of Category I gas appliances with fan-assisted combustion systems. These venting guidelines and sizing tables are based on limiting the condensation and pressurization of a vent system attached to a Category I fan-assisted appliance. These guidelines cover either the venting of a single Category I fan-assisted appliance or the common venting of any combination of Category I fan-assisted and draft hood-equipped appliances.
