The report outlines Industrial Free Zones (IFZ) in the Dominican Republic. An IFZis a geographic area under special customs and tax controls, in which enterprises are licensed to produce goods or services to foreign markets through the granting of incentives to stimulate their development. IFZ companies are exempt from the payment of import or export duties or any other taxes normally levied.
