WSCRAWL: The Use of a Shared Workspace in a Desktop Conferencing System.

摘要

WSCRAWL is a shared whiteboard tool for desktop conferencing operating in connection with a video conferencing device. With WSCRAWL, users can import images of other objects on the workstation screen, they can draw various shapes in multiple colors, quickly write legible text with the keyboard, telepoint, rearrange information, and control video conferencing connections. The authors have observed how these facilities were used in different task contexts. On this basis, they discuss problems identified by their users including distraction, WYSIWIS problems, and the manipulation of text in a pixel-oriented drawing tool. (Copyright (c) GMD 1992.)
