Mitsubishi Technical Bulletin No. 199: Development of Oil-Free Centrifugal Compressor.

摘要

Original active magnetic bearings developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) are used together with the gas seal for a centrifugal compressor to realize an oil-free system. These bearings suspend the rotor, which weighs 2,800 N, and have the thrust force of 6,000 N. In spite of the lower rigidity of the rotor, stable levitation of the compressor is possible and good operation over 10,000 rpm is realized.
