Annotated Bibliography on Volunteerism and Aging. Reviews of Articles, Books and Reports Related to Volunteerism

摘要

The National Eldercare Institute on Employment and Volunteerism was established: (1) To increase public awareness of volunteer and employment issues and opportunities in the care of the elderly; and (2) To increase the potential for the development of new or expanded approaches in volunteerism and employment in both the public and private sectors. The document has been developed to address the needs of staff, volunteers, and organizations by identifying and providing succinct reviews of current literature concerning volunteerism. The reviews are organized according to five topics: General, Recruitment, Training, Programs and Services, and Intergeneration Programs.
