The material provides documentation for users of the Micro-Data Tape of theNational Nursing Home Survey Followup (NNHSF): Wave I, 1987. It includes information on the history of the 1985 National Nursing Home Survey, the Next-of-Kin (NOK) Component of the NNHS, and data collection procedures used for the NNHSF. References are provided. The Wave I questionnaire is presented. It then provides technical details concerning the tape (number of tracks, record length, etc.). It concludes with a detailed description of the contents of each data record, by location.
