Criterion-Related Validity of the Administrative Careers with America Group 5 Examination for Tax Auditors. Examination for Tax Auditors

This report summarizes research conducted by the Office of Personnel Management to document the validity and fairness of the Administrative Careers with America (ACWA) examination for Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tax Auditors, one of the ACWA Group 5 occupations. A criterion-related validation strategy was employed in which the scores of incumbents on the ACWA examination were correlated with measures of performance on the job.
