NCMS Total Productive Maintenance. Version 1.1. Final Report

摘要

The primary objectives of the research effort were the deployment of state-of-the-art predictive monitoring technologies, development of new maintenance practices, and study of operating-cost data. The use of these technologies and practices holds promise for significantly increasing manufacturing efficiency. By collecting real-time machine data and analyzing trends that arise from it, predictive maintenance systems could forecast machine or tool failure before product quality is affected, allowing maintenance to be scheduled during noncritical times. The project studied two machines at two separate manufacturing sites, each retrofitted with a state-of-the-art predictive-monitoring system.
