Utilization and Cost Effectiveness of Retread Tires

This report discusses the possible utilization and cost effectiveness of usingretreaded tires on state vehicles in Kentucky. Included is information obtained from a telephone survey of local companies and two state DOT agencies. Information was also obtained from a survey conducted on the AASHTO-VAN computer network. The report also contains a cost comparison of retread prices versus new tire prices.
