Working Paper on Intermodal Requirements on the U.S.-Mexico Border

The working paper summarizes the existing intermodal freight transportationsystem serving U.S.-Mexico trade. Requirements for enhancement of the intermodal transportation system are presented, along with comments shared by service providers. The working paper was prepared as an informal document for review by study team members. The contents of the paper have been updated and incorporated in Volume 3 of the Final Report, 'Making Things Work: Transportation and Trade Expansion in Western North America' (FHWA-PL-94-009-016).
