This report discusses the effects of joint types on nailed connections found inmanufactured and modular housing. Current methods used in the design of nailed connections do not directly relate to the types of joints found in manufactured and modular housing. They do not account for the different types of construction practices used today, or for the fact that many joints are built with filler materials separating main wood members.
