Analysis and Assessment of Procurement in Information System Development Projects

A research project is described focusing on procurement in information system development projects in the Netherlands. Procurement is defined as the set of organizational activities resulting in an agreement between suppliers and customers for the development of information systems. An analysis of the interaction between customers and suppliers is carried out. Tools will be developed to assist project managers in planning the procurement for a particular project. The research project assumes active participation from industry.
