Innovations in Recreation Management: Importance, Diffusion, and Implementation

摘要

The study seeks to: (1) identify important recreation resource management innovations, (2) determine their relative importance in meeting recreation management objectives, and (3) gather information about their diffusion and implementation. The study provides support and justification for the expenditure of resources on recreation resource management research. Results can indicate that innovations are important both in a general sense and in accomplishing specific recreation management goals. The importance of the innovations suggests the need for their continued development. In times of diminishing budgets and research dollars, such justification is essential.
