摘要

The report documents the foreland fold-thrust model proposed by Klasner,Ojakangas, and others (1988), Klasner, Sims, and others (1988), and Barovich and others (1989) in Upper Michigan, providing evidence for the division of the Baraga belt into the Huron River parautochthon to the north, and the allochthonous Falls River slice to the south, which are separated by the east-west-trending Falls River thrust. Evidence for this thrust comes from abrupt changes in structural complexity and finite strain between the adjacent terranes.
