The working paper analyzes the impacts of international trade and expanded tradewith Mexico upon the economies of the Western states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. For brevity, the term 'region' will be used throughout the discussion to refer to this group of seven states.
