The thermodynamic properties of metallurgical solutions are generally derivedfrom the experimentally determined activity data of its components. The activity of a component as a function of the composition and the temperature is in general sufficient to deduce other thermodynamic properties of the system. Thermodynamic properties can be determined in many different ways e.g. by calorimetric, EMF or Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry methods. The Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry is a well-established method in high temperature chemistry, and it is suitable for the investigation of high-temperature vapors. The construction of
