Laboratory Tests of Ship Structures under Ice Loading. Volume 1

摘要

The report presents results of a series of laboratory experiments performed toobtain data on response of structures under ice loading. The background of the work is partly in the study of ice structure interaction processes and partly in the work searching means of making a ship structure under ice loading lighter. More specifically, recent developments in understanding the ice edge contact phenomena and studies of sandwich structures under ice loading have initiated this experimental program. By experiments it is hoped to gain insight that would focus research efforts in the study of structures under ice loading.
