Key Cognitive Issues in the Design of Electronic Displays of Instrument ApproachProcedure Charts

Cognitive psychology is an extremely broad topic. Perception, learning, memory,language, reasoning, and thinking can all be included under the umbrella of cognitive psychology. A large and diverse body of research and literature related to cognitive psychology is available. The goal of human factors in cognitive psychology is to apply the body of knowledge available about how people process information to the design of systems to make them easier for humans to use efficiently and safely. The goal of the project is to apply this knowledge of human mental processes to the design of EIAP charts.
