Formal Approach to the Methodology of Information Planning

Research of methodological aspects of information planning is seldom performed in a rigorous formal way. We propose to apply meta-modelling techniques to be able to formulate methodological statements about information planning on a more formal basis. This is demonstrated by a comparison of three information planning methods, an investigation of the practical application of these methods, and the composition of an improved method.
