EDMS: Engineering Data Management System. Administrator's Guide

Documents contain user-defined attributes and the actual data for separate CADtools. The documents are accessed with a server program, which stores document contents and attributes in a relational database and accepts service requests from various client programs, including a graphical user interface. The report provides Engineering Data Management System (EDMS) administrators with useful information on various subjects such as the server protocol and the authorization and commit procedures. The reader is assumed to be familiar with the EDMS concepts and the graphical EDMS user interface program, which are documented in other reports.
