Improving Targeting to Native American Indian Elders. Executive Summary

The project specifically addressed the need for a systematic approach to promote the participation of American Indian elders in programs designed to enhance the health and well being of the older population. The target population was Indian elders in Arizona. The goal of the project was to improve the delivery of services to American Indian elders through the development of a service delivery system design which can be replicated nationally. This was accomplished through analysis of federal, state, tribal and private policies, procedures and practices, and the development of recommendations for the coordinated targeting of services to Indian communities.
