Experimental Studies of Pressurised Fluidised Bed Combustion at Helsinki University of Technology 1991-92

The report is a general part of the research project 'Nitrogen oxide, alkali metal and particle emissions in pressurized fluidized bed combustion,' carried out as a two-year project 1991-92 at Helsinki University of Technology. The main subjects of the project were the emissions of nitrogen oxides and nitrous oxide and their reduction, the release of sodium and potassium and hot gas clean-up with fibrous ceramic filters. This report presents the project and test arrangements and the results of material balances, sulfur capture and combustion performance.
