Reaction of Isocyanates with Carboxylic Acids and Its Application to PolymerSynthesis

摘要

The thesis describes systematic examinations of the reaction of diisocyanateswith dicarboxylic acids yielding various types of polyamides (PA) polymers and block copolymers. The investigations are split into two parts: Part I describes the chemistry of the carboxylic acid-isocyanate reaction using low molecular mass model compounds. Part II reports the synthesis of several new polymers, based on the reaction between diisocyanates and dicarboxylic acids.
