Quality Improvement Resource Guide: Engineering a Quality Future inTransportation

The guide was developed as a part of the National Quality Initiative sponsored inpart by FHWA Demonstration Project No. 89. The guide was prepared for transportation professionals who are interested in learning about a state-of-the-art management theory and practice called 'Continuous Quality Improvement.' It provides an overview of the concept and of the tools available, a synopisis of the rising emphasis on the subject of quality in the highway industry, and a reference of various organizations and documents concerned with quality management.
