Assessment of Erosion/Sediment Control in Highway Construction Projects

The objectives of the study were as follows: perform a search, review andevaluation of all literature related to temporary erosion and sediment control for highway construction; survey and compare temporary erosion and sediment control guidelines and practices in other states; perform an in-depth review and evaluation of ODOT guidelines and practices in controlling erosion and sediment at construction sites; determine the adequacy of existing ODOT guidelines and enforcement; identify if additional research is required to improve existing ODOT guidelines and practices in temporary erosion and sediment control.
