Lectures on Magnetohydrodynamical Drives

摘要

The paper deals with nonconventional types of electrical machines and drives -magnetohydrodynamical (MHD) machines and drives. In cardinal it is based on the research conduct with participation of author in Tallinn Technical University at the Institute of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics, where the use of magnetohydrodynamical motors and drives in the metallurgical and casting industries have been studied for a long time. Major research interests include the qualities and applications of the induction MHD-drives for set in the motion (pumping, turning, dosing, mixing, etc.) non-ferrous molten metals like Al, Mg, Sn, Pb, Na, K and their alloys.
