Manual for Heat Exchanger Design Using Spirally Fluted Tubes. Final Report,November 1993

摘要

The report contains a design method for the fluted tube heat exchangers in singlephase flow. Flutes tube are a recently developed heat transfer material that can save considerable material, weight, cost and volume in heat exchanger applications. To date, no independently evaluated method was available to guide the designer. Ohio State University has recently completed a multi-year study of these heat transfer surfaces and reduced their data to a user friendly design method. Future work will include multiphase heat exchange, not included in the report.
