The report outlines the strategic agenda for the National Archives and RecordsAdministration (NARA). It is composed of five critical success factors. They are: Serve the records and information requirements of the Government and the people; Manage NARA effectively to ensure mission accomplishment; Aggressively pursue NARA's mission in all areas being impacted by changing information technology and electronic records; Preserve the records of the Federal Government and other historical materials; and Develop a new atmosphere of openness in NARA through more effective internal and external communications and a spirit of visible leadership in the archival, records, and information fields.
