Determination Properties of Cord-Rubber Composites by Moire Method.

摘要

The material properties of cord-rubber composites required for finite element analysis of tires are discussed. Determination of the cord-rubber composites material properties has always been somewhat difficult, which is a key to successful finite element analysis of tires. In this paper in-plane extensional stiffnesses properties of different volume fraction of cord for single-ply cord-rubber composites have been determined by Moire method. Corresponding values from Halpin-Tsai and similar equations are compared with experimental data. Also the stiffness properties obtained for test samples with various ratio of length to width are compared.
