User Study: Informational Needs of Remote National Archives and RecordsAdministration Customers

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) possesses a vast wealthof information and records holdings from the Federal Government, which documents the history of the American people. The purpose of this particular study was to conduct a survey to investigate the information and records needs of citizens who lack direct access to NARA's facilities and determine how to best meet those needs. The basic question answered is what remote users of the National Archives want in the way of information and materials and how they want to receive it.
