Technology Reinvestment Projects in Manufacturing Education and Training (MET)

The mission of the Technology Reinvestment Project (TRP) is to stimulate thetransition to a growing, integrated, national industrial capability that provides the most advanced, affordable military systems and the most competitive commercial products. Programs are structured to expand U.S. competitiveness and national security. Technology Reinvestment activities fall naturally into three broad areas; Technology Development, Technology Depolyment, and Manufacturing Education and Training (MET). Selections under MET favor those proposals that improve the general state of U.S. competitiveness and productivity and provide a high quality work force for the 21st century. From the FY 1993 solicitation 57 MET proposals were selected for negotiation.
