Modelling of Ice Induced Vibration of Slender Offshore Structures

摘要

The calculation model is developed for simulating the ice-structure interactionof narrow offshore structures in level ice fields. The interaction is based on a shear flaking model of the ice edge and the simulation routine is derived from ship-ice interaction modelling. The global and local deformation of the structure as well as ice field rigid body motion and elastic deformation is taken into account in the model. The model is applied to two cases, a set of laboratory tests and measurements from channel markers in the northern Baltic. The calculations could explain the phenomena observed in measurements.
