Physician Liability Concerns and Use of Clinical Practice Guidelines. Abstract,Executive Summary, Final Report and Appendix

摘要

The purpose of this study is to explore whether legal concerns effect physicianresponse to a practice guideline that may raise liability concerns. For example, physicians may be concerned about malpractice liability if they do not follow a relevant guideline and the patient has an adverse outcome. The study will investigate whether physicians report an inverse relationship between clinical agreement with a practice guideline and their use of that guideline in their practices.
