Adoption of Hybrid Maize in Zambia: Effects on Gender Roles, Food Consumption,and Nutrition

The report looks at the influences that led farmers to adopt hybrid maize inEastern Province, Zambia, and the effects that adoption of improved maize has had on income, food consumption, and nutrition and health of the rural population. It also examines changes associated with adoption in particular the implications for household labor allocations and access to resources of household members.
