Modelling Conflict Management in Design: An Explicit Approach

摘要

This paper focuses on how conflicts can be managed in the generic task model fordesign introduced in (Brazier, Langen, Ruttkay and Treur, 1994). Based on this generic task model a number of possible types of conflict are distinguished. Furthermore it is described how each of them can be detected during the design process by an explicit meta-representation of them and how they can be analyzed and managed by means of strategic meta-knowledge to control the reasoning process.
