Long-Term Perspectives of Upland Game Bird Research in North America

摘要

Intensive research pertaining to upland game bird populations now spans manydecades in North America. In fact, concepts derived from game bird research were foundational to the science of wildlife ecology and management during its formative era in the early 1900s. Nevertheless, given the extensive data sets that exist for some species, the ability to describe and predict population phenomena in response to present and future habitat conditions is emerging slowly.
