摘要

Infrared tube heaters are designed to produce radiant energy by heating a metaltube to a relatively high temperature. Due to the size of these heaters, the current method for measuring the radiant out put from infrared heaters specified in the ANSI Z83.6 standard is impractical. It has long been desired to have a method for determining the radiant component of the heat transfer from tube heaters. Previous suggested methods have suffered from complexity and very long testing times. The method proposed in this work will use radiometer readings and a calculation method to significantly reduce the time and complexity of the procedure needed for determine the radiant output.
