Microbial Production of Stereo- and Regiospecific Chemicals via Co-Oxidation. Annual Report, January 1990-February 1991

摘要

The overall objective of this program is to determine the technical and economic feasibility of the microbial utilization of methane for the production of chemicals. This project will concentrate on developing techniques to produce higher produced chemicals, particularly stereospecific chemicals, by a biocatalytic co-oxidation process using methane as the co-substrate. The plants that will produce such chemicals are expected to be located in different areas throughout the United States. The gas transmission and distribution companies, as well as the gas producing companies, will benefit because of the increased demand for natural gas at different locations in the country.
