Chemicals Registered for the First Time as Pesticidal Active Ingredients underFIFRA

The purpose of this report is to provide a summary of chemicals registered forthe first time as pesticidal active ingredients under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, as amended in 1988. Data have been assembled on registration of new active ingredients by date registered, trade name, common name, initial registrant, and type. Registration of new chemicals for pest control is one indicator of technological progress in the pesticide industry.
